Slowly filter music through my mind and
Pick out colors from the atmosphere

But again, I'm looking with the wrong senses and I

the phone in my hand trills a vibration that is racing past my fingertips
Through nerve endings and into the synapses of my
brain...

The atmosphere stops.

My eyes are moving

Like flies attracted to sugar-sticky fruits to two words:

I'm here

Once again I begin looking with the wrong senses.

Healing Through Art - 9/11 Remembrance

This saturday at 1:30PM at Pier 25 in Manhattan, Downtown Community Center (a great organization that I worked for several years ago) is holding a mural painting event.

Pier 25: Manhattan Youth's Healing Through Art
Saturday, September 1:30 pm

Hudson River Park at Hudson River and Harrison Street

Manhattan Youth invites community members to engage in the healing powers of art by painting murals at Pier 25's art shack. The murals will decorate Pier 25, which is now a beautiful testimony to the community's recovery after 9/11.
